Uniting people through our projects
Our construction projects, business centres and regeneration schemes bring people together. We are committed to becoming active and engaged members of the community. Our community includes our construction project neighbours, the businesses who use our offices, meeting and conference space and the people who buy our homes.
Our engagement culture is focused on four core areas:
Participation – We actively engage with the community and encourage participation in a broad range of events on our construction projects including meet the builder events and host regular business networking events to help our tenants grow their businesses.
Involvement – We seek to add value by involving our teams in local events such as the Woodland Festival, heritage skills days, hard hat tours and community projects. Our teams are also involved in a number of initiatives to support young people and apprentices such as the CITB Construction Ambassadors Scheme, and the STEM Ambassadors Scheme.
Locality – We are committed to using local supply chains and local labour, its just the right thing to do. One of the best ways of engaging the community in our projects by asking them to work on the project. It drives community ownership and engagement and helps create a meaningful social legacy.
Partnerships – We develop strong and meaningful partnerships with community focused organisations such as The Chameleon School of Construction, Echium World, local charities, schools, collages and universities to help us enhance our offer and deliver social, environmental and community value.
