Social Responsibility

Adding value through social, economic and environmental initiatives is at the core of our business.

Local Supply Chain and Local Spend

By investing in and using an excellent local supply chain we generate economic growth and local jobs for local people. We regularly hold meet the buyer events. We engage with our supply chain partners to deliver value for money and social returns. To achieve this we employ a dedicated supply chain Co-ordinator to work with our supply chain. find out more about becoming part of our Supply Chain here.

Skills and Employment

We are committed to adding social value and have a strong skills and employment agenda inspired by the Social Value Act 2012.

We are committed to developing skills and providing a legacy to ensure skills shortages do not affect the future of our business. We have formulated a strategic method statement to deliver employment and skills outputs on our projects. This is delivered through our B.I.G. Initiative. “Building to Inspire a Generation.” Find out more here.

Community Engagement

We work within close communities and working together is the key to success. Our commitment to the Considerate Constructors Scheme has seen us deliver the most considerate site in the UK below £500,000. We were also awarded the runners up award in the same category. In 2016 we become associate members and are exploring new ways to raise the bar in considerate management best practice. Find out more here.
