New Business Development & Bid Manager appointment made at Nottinghamshire based Construction Company Robert Woodhead Ltd.
Paul brings substantial experience and expertise to the business within the private and public sectors. His main priority will be to build and maintain relationships with our existing trusted partners. A key part of his will include showcasing previous success stories within the company, specifically surrounding our new Future Home product and Climate Action Framework.
Paul commented, “There are some interesting and important challenges ahead and I am excited to be a part of developing these. In particular, learning more about decarbonisation and how we can implement our skills to deal with this important issue.”
Paul first stepped on the construction ladder when he started studying Engineering, locally at Chesterfield College. He then began an open university degree funded by himself, achieving a BA Honours.
He has worked in various sectors including water and environment as both a consultant and in construction. He was also Chair of the CECA Water Group. He began his career as an engineer then developed his skills into business development. Paul has been fortunate enough to work all over the UK and Internationally, in Brazil, Jamaica, the Middle East and Europe.
He then expanded his experience within the construction industry further, before joining Robert Woodhead Ltd. Another deciding factor was the commitment shown to the local region and their support for social value and the environment. “All things I believe in and find important.”
He said, “Since joining I’ve found the people here to be very welcoming and supportive.”
Paul is looking forward to developing the company’s approach towards the challenging times ahead, combatting the climate emergency.
Glenn Slater, Chief Visionary Officer commented,
“I am delighted that Paul has joined our Business Development team. He brings a wealth of industry experience in both consultancy and contracting and is passionate about social value and climate action which makes him a good fit for our business as we look to the future.”
Outside of work Paul is a keen photographer, specifically nature and landscape photography.
